Talking Tree?

Look at what the technology world is coming to! There is now a Talking Tree! Scientists hooked up a tree with weather, dust, and light meters so everyone can now tell how it is "feeling." The meters are sent to a computer which then translates the numbers and scientific terms to normal people words and posts it on facebook, twitter, the talking tree website, and various other means of communication. Here's another stop motion video but this one the artist used post-its. it amazes me how much time people put into to make a 2 minute video. but it is definitely awesome.

Random

So the other day in my Organizational Communication class I was introduced to this pretty awesome website called random.org. We used it in our class to randomly assign groups or our upcoming. Our professor just had to put in the number of students in the class and how many groups he wanted and then he gave us each a number and we saw on the screen what group our number was in. It's supposedly 100% random. So I looked around on the website when I got home and there's actually a lot of random things it will do. Take a look for yourself and explore randomness :)

Stop Motion

We've been learning about stop motion in class and so I watched a lot of youtube videos encompassing this and found this one to be interesting and I liked the song that goes along with it. Enjoy.

I found this while just searching the web. It was created by a variety of students and I just thought it was pretty cool to see how advanced our digital animation has gotten. The characters and objects are able to move and appear so real life. I also love the one question that is asked during the video.

We're All Weird

I found this on StumpleUpon and thought it was very fitting. I think that we're all weird and have weird qualities but people are usually just too scared to attempt it or show their weirdness to the rest of the world because they care too much about what others think. So here's my permission to everyone: BE WEIRD. Actually, just BE YOURSELF and if that's weird than so be it.

Save The Words

This is a pretty cool website I found which is called Save The Words and it's made by Oxford Dictionaries. You basically just scroll your mouse over 100s of challenging words and it will give you a definition, the word used in a sentence and you will have the chance to sign an oath saying you swear to use the new word in a conversation the next day. check it out! You are currently looking at my creation: Laugh, Smile, and Run Away. This blog isn't going to have rules or guidelines. This blog isn't going to always make sense. It's not going to fit into a certain genre of blogs. This blog is going to be a compilation of my thoughts, my worries, my hopes, my randomness, and my creativity.

The title of my blog "Laugh, Smile, and Run Away" is an original title and was created to describe how I live my life. I love laughing and am constantly smiling but at times I just need to run away from reality. Life is to0 great to stand around half paying attention and not enjoying it.
